Aerie at River Hook
Designed to reflect history in the Hudson River Valley, Aerie combines natural and architectural forms in monumental mesh. The sculpture’s base echoes a classical archway, while the figure of a nesting eagle refers to the revival both of the river and the famous local bird. The eagle recalls national and multicultural myths, environmental treasures, and the human desire to fly.
